Transgender people made a parody of da Vinci's work and caused concern.
At the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris, transgender people presented a parody of da Vinci's painting “The Last Supper”. The main act of the show was a dance on a table by a man painted blue, as well as a performance by a bearded woman.
This was written by Marion Maréchal, a member of the European Parliament from Le Pen's party, on the Internet Х.
“To all the Christians of the world who are watching the Olympic ceremony and feel offended by this parody of the “Last Supper”, know that this is not France speaking, but a left-wing minority ready for any provocation,” she wrote.
This performance was also commented on by the American billionaire Elon Musk. He called it “an extreme display of disrespect for Christians.”
Economist and head of the Ukrainian American House Roman Sheremeta wrote on social media that “mocking Christ at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games is simply evil. I have already chosen to boycott the Olympics because of the participation of Russian athletes. But to be honest, I am not sure that such a Europe is worth fighting for at all.”
Recall that Ukraine competed in the first final of the 2024 Olympics and the first results were already known.
