SberSvuk provided its users with the opportunity to listen to audio in HiFi format, and the Russians themselves decided which songs will be translated into it in the first place. This was reported by the press service of Sberbank.
The survey involved 1,500 people from different cities of Russia. 63% of respondents noted that they almost always pay attention to sound quality, and 28% emphasized that they value the absence of digital compression.
The most popular genres to listen to in HiFi are pop and classical. In second place is rock, in third is electronic music and hip-hop. Jazz and metal are in the top 5.
The most popular pop songs were named by the survey participants the song “Native” by Svetlana Loboda, “a story about loneliness in the style of cyberpunk” by BESTSELLER by Max Barskikh and Zivert, “Bird” by HammAli & Navai. Among foreign artists, the song Your power Billie Eilish was chosen. From the classics, the survey participants wanted to hear Tchaikovsky's “Waltz of Flowers”, Symphony No. 5 in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven and “Habanera” by Georges Bizet.
When it comes to hi-fi rock, first on the list are Aria's Careless Angel and Spleen's Sugar Free Orbit. Also of interest was the track Oblivion by British duo Royal Blood and Elasticity by Serge Tankian.
Among hip-hop performers, the first place was taken by Scryptonite with the track “Shades”, the second was Morgenshtern with “Dool”, the third – Miyagi & Andy Panda and the track “Patron”. The dance track Tiesto – The Business won the electronic HiFi-hit parade.
“HiFi allows you to listen to details that are hardly noticeable at first glance and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the track. Among such compositions, in the opinion of the respondents, it is worth first of all to add to the playlist Prodigy – SpeedWay with the sound of a racing car in the background and the hit The doors – LA Woman with the noise of a motor in the track, ”said Alexander Pletnev, music chief editor of SberSvuk.
The respondents also wanted to make out Bjork's whisper in So quite, listen to Grantchester Meadows – Pink Floyd and walk in the rain from the Stan track by Eminem and Dido.
