Saudi Arabia will offer all residents a free coronavirus vaccine. It is reported by Reuters with reference to the country's Ministry of Health.

The kingdom's authorities hope that by the end of 2021, 70 percent of the population will be vaccinated. At the same time, the ministry did not specify which of the vaccines under development they pin their hopes on.

Earlier it was reported that the vaccine against COVID-19 from the scientific center “Vector”, called “EpiVacCorona”, will be made free for residents of Russia, it will not go on commercial sale. There is no question of exporting it either, because before that it is necessary to provide a vaccine to all Russians in need.

Prior to that, it was reported that the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is negotiating the production of a vaccine in Saudi Arabia.

The registration of the world's first vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 11, and the second EpiVacCorona vaccine was registered on October 14. A peptide vaccine with artificially synthesized proteins was developed by the Vector Center.
