Insider Min-Chi Kuo noted that in the most obvious scenario, individual cellular operators will work with Globalstar. Thanks to this, consumers will be able to use satellite communications on new devices from Apple directly through their operator without additional contracts and payments.
In addition, in the new iPhone models, there may be a function of notification of major incidents via satellite communications, including a plane crash or a distress on a ship. In emergencies, the smartphone will send location information and medical record data.
