The President speaks of provocation.
President of Moldova Maia Sandu considers reports that drones allegedly attacked a military base to be a “provocation” part in Transnistria.
She stated this during a press conference, reports LIGA.net.
“According to the information we have, this is akin to a provocation to maintain tension and fear among people,” the president said.
Sandu also stated that she shares the opinion of the Moldovan government that Ukraine has nothing to do with this event. By the way, the Moldovan Bureau of Reintegration called the message about the UAV strike “an attempt to provoke fear and panic in the region.”
We recall that on the eve of March 17, in Transnistria they announced that a helicopter exploded on the territory of a military unit of the Russian Army. Representatives of the so-called local authorities say, that the incident was caused by a kamikaze drone strike.
A representative of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate Andrey Yusov called the drone attack on a military unit in Transnistria a “Russian provocation.” He notes that Moscow manipulates the information space to escalate the situation.
