After the New Year holidays, the cost of tours will decrease significantly, the most noticeable difference will be for tickets to the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba, Izvestia writes with reference to representatives of the industry.

According to Aleksan Mkrtchyan, General Director of the Pink Elephant travel agency network, prices for flights and hotel accommodation will decrease by almost a third – by 30-40 percent. He predicted that the price would start falling on January 15 and hit a low by February 1. The specialist recalled that Egypt is considered the most popular destination in January; on New Year's, holidays there are cheaper than in Turkey. “Accordingly, after the peak dates, we will see prices in the region of 70-80 thousand for two per week,” he warned of a massive reduction in cost.

The difference is most noticeable on long-haul routes – Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico. Tours for the New Year for two there cost 300 thousand rubles. “By February 1 they will cost 200 thousand. The savings are significant, ”he said.

Representatives of the TUI Russia tour operator also clarified that the cheapest way to travel is right after the long New Year's weekend. According to the company, after January 12, the cost of recreation is 10-30 percent cheaper. “In some cases, discounts begin on January 8-9, since many tourists at this time are already striving to fly home,” the experts noted.

Earlier, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, Maya Lomidze, said that the cost of a holiday abroad on New Year's Eve ranges from 120,000 to 150,000 rubles.
