Russians were told why applications are following users

by alex

Radio Sputnik interviewed Sergei Vakulin, an expert on information and computer security, in which the Russians were told why the applications are tracking users.

According to the expert, mobile applications are capable of recording user conversations in random situations. Interestingly, the user himself provides them with this opportunity by agreeing to use a microphone by the application during installation. This information is useful for advertisers.

“The app can track you to analyze your data and sell. Not just collect, but sell. It often happens with us that you took out a loan from one bank, and another bank immediately calls you and offers another loan. Selling data is already a commonplace topic, ” Vakulin shared.
