Doctors advised Russians to eat a balanced diet, take walks and sign up for a massage to recover from the New Year holidays. It is reported by RIA Novosti according to the results of a survey of medical workers.
Andrei Tyazhelnikov, chief specialist in primary health care for adults of the Moscow Department of Health, noted the need to keep food in moderation. He also warned that abrupt changes in eating behavior negatively affect the body.
Olga Kondratyeva, a gastroenterologist at the Consultation and Diagnostic Polyclinic No. 121 of the Moscow Healthcare Department, reminded about the restraint in the use of alcoholic beverages. According to her, during the New Year holidays, the number of alcohol poisoning and illnesses increases sharply against the background of abuse.
To save herself from overeating, Kaylee Carbin, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of California, Dominguez Hills, advised enjoying small portions of her favorite foods and focusing on communicating with others at the festive table, rather than eating food.
