Experts of the tourism industry gave recommendations on the procedure for obtaining visas for holidays in Sri Lanka. Such information appeared on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
According to the new entry rules, in early February, the country’s authorities expanded the list of countries whose citizens can get a visa on arrival — Russia also entered the list. However, travelers were advised to continue to apply for documents in advance.
According to tour operators, upon arrival, the visa form must be filled out in English, which can be difficult for many Russians. “In addition, it takes time to fill out the visa application form on arrival, and the group transfer will not wait,” explained ICS Travel Group.
At the same time, experts noted that the paperwork on arrival is suitable for tourists who bought a ticket at the last moment or cannot pay for a visa online.
In addition, tour operators have named the optimal cost of a tour to Sri Lanka. According to Space Travel, the minimum price of a trip for two for ten days is 70 thousand rubles. According to the PAC Group booking system, a week-long tour in February will cost $ 1.1 thousand (approximately 82.8 thousand rubles).
Earlier in January, tour operators reported a decrease in the cost of vouchers to Sri Lanka. According to experts, the cost of package tours to the island in February decreased by 10-15 percent. The most advantageous offer will cost 45,2 thousand rubles.
