Russians didn't stop shelling after Putin announced “Christmas truce” – Pentagon

by alex

The invaders did not stop the fighting.

The aggressor Russia violated the so-called “Christmas truce”, which the occupiers were supposed to start from 12:00 on December 6.

This was announced by the representative of the US Department of Defense Laura Cooper.

It is noted that the Pentagon stated the violation of the “truce” by the Russian Federation. Russian troops have not stopped the fighting, Cooper said, even though President Vladimir Putin had committed to a unilateral ceasefire the day before.

Cooper called the Russian dictator's statement a “propaganda trick” that didn't work in the end. According to the Pentagon, Russia will continue senseless assaults on Ukrainian positions by prisoners.

Recall that on January 5, Putin ordered Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to cease fire along the entire line of clashes between the parties in Ukraine for Christmas. The Kremlin appealed to the Ukrainian side with an appeal to also declare a ceasefire on holidays.

Then Shoigu announced the alleged “36-hour ceasefire in Ukraine.” It should last from 12:00 January 6 to 24:00 January 7.
