The Russian youth ice hockey team lost to the Finnish team in the match for third place at the 2021 World Championship and was left without medals. The online broadcast of the match was carried out on the Championship.ru website.

The meeting, held in Edmonton, Canada, ended with a score of 4: 1. In the first period, Ilya Safonov brought the Russian team forward, but in the second period Finnish hockey player Anton Lundell equalized the score. In the third period Mikko Petman scored another goal and ensured the victory for the Finnish national team.
