The Russian youth team defeated the Swedish national team in the group stage match of the World Ice Hockey Championship (WCH). The online broadcast of the match was carried out on the Championship.ru website.

The Group B meeting, which took place in Edmonton, Canada, ended in overtime with a score of 4: 3. Egor Afanasyev, Rodion Amirov, Kirill Kirsanov and Marat Khusnutdinov distinguished themselves in the Russian national team, who scored to the Swedes five seconds before the end of added time.
