A native of Buryatia, along with two children, was kept in slavery near Voronezh for two years, representatives of the public organization Alternativa told about this on their Instagram account.
The girl lived with her children in a Buryat village, but decided to go to work in Moscow and fell into slavery. She was offered a job as a milkmaid on a farm in the Voronezh region. Since the conditions were suitable, the woman agreed. Two brothers running the business turned her into a slave. She tried to escape, but she couldn't.
According to human rights activists, the girl was not only forced to work for free, but also to live with one of the farmers. He raped a Russian woman, beat her children and poured them alcohol. The victim was forced to look after 50 cattle.
She managed to free herself from captivity thanks to a friend whom the woman told details about her life. The children, now four and six years old, are in a state of disrepair, according to social services. The family is planned to be sent home to Buryatia.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Ukrainian village of Chernetchina in the Kharkiv region illegally kept seven people in slavery. The man forced them to cut wood, engage in construction work.
