A Russian tourist decided to save money on her vacation in the UAE by buying a tour for 62 thousand rubles for two, and described the trip “I will not return with words and I will not advise”. She shared her impressions of the trip with the portal “Subtleties of Tourism”, her review was published on the Yandex.Zen platform.
As the Russian woman admitted, she was flattered by the low cost of the tour – so, she felt that this was influenced by the dry law in the emirate of Sharjah, as well as the fact that in early December prices are always lower. “We also decided to take meals only for breakfast, since the hotel is located in the city and, judging by the map, there are many cafes nearby,” added the tourist.
So, one of her main mistakes when buying a voucher, the traveler called refusal to eat for lunch and dinner at the hotel. Upon arrival at the resort, it became clear that prices in the city were much higher, and the quality of food was lower. “It is very expensive to travel to Fujairah or Dubai, all transfers and free buses, which are written about in the description of the hotel, are absent, they say because of COVID-19,” noted another miscalculation of the Russian woman.
According to the tourist, the main disappointment of the holiday, which did not compensate for the excellent service and service at the hotel, was the oily spots of oil on the water, visible from the shore. The girl said that the hotel staff quickly cleaned the beach, however, in the afternoon, the current in the bay became muddy. At the same time, the employees argued that these were natural emissions, since the coast of the Indian Ocean of the UAE is rich in black gold deposits.
“In general, the situation with the beach vacation is not clear, the staff says one thing, the reviews are different, but we see a completely different picture. And in general, now I am very wary of the coast of the Indian Ocean in the UAE, ”the Russian woman shared.
Earlier in December, tourism industry experts warned foreign tourists planning a trip to the UAE against bringing certain items into the country. First of all, experts recalled the ban on the import of certain drugs – among them diazepam, roaccutane, tramadol and codeine.
