In Novgorod, the court ordered the tenant of the apartment to cover the losses caused to the owner due to smoking and improper use of plumbing fixtures. In total, the owner managed to get a payment of more than 130 thousand rubles, according to the website of the Novgorod District Court.

As it was established during the court session, the man moved into an apartment, where all plumbing fixtures and utilities, household appliances were in working order. But then a water leak occurred in the apartment: the living quarters from below were flooded. At the same time, the bay occurred due to the improper use of plumbing by the tenant.

Almost 125 thousand rubles were collected from the owner of the rented apartment in favor of the neighbors. Subsequently, it turned out that the tenant not only caused a flood, but also burned the carpet and sofa with cigarettes, broke the plastic window sills in the room and on the balcony, the handle of the balcony door, and made a mess. The owner had to hire cleaners.

The court ruled that the tenant caused damage to someone else's property and ordered him to compensate for the losses. 134.5 thousand rubles will be collected from the defendant in favor of the plaintiff, and he will also have to pay a state fee (almost 4 thousand rubles).

Earlier it turned out that tenants in large regional centers of Russia are ready to pay for rented housing an average of 24 thousand rubles a month. More than half of the tenants of rental apartments would not like to enter into a lease agreement with an annual indexation of rates.
