A Russian citizen was detained on suspicion of leading a criminal group in Poland. This was announced by the press secretary of the Minister of the Coordinator of the Special Services Stanislav Zharyn, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to him, the Russian is responsible for tax fraud related to fictitious fuel trade. Zharyn explained that the offender did not pay taxes on diesel fuel that he sold in Poland. In addition to the citizen of the Russian Federation, charges were brought against two more persons.
“The company [where the Russian worked] did not disclose the subject of taxation to the tax authorities, indicated false data in the submitted tax returns and used fictitious invoices,” the spokesman added. Thus, the country suffered damage in the amount of PLN 12 million (approximately $ 3.2 million).
In late September, Russian Nikolai Erofeev was released from more than 23 years of slavery at a poultry farm in Poland. He managed to escape and find shelter with a couple of local residents. He said that he found himself in slavery after he remained illegally in Poland after the collapse of the USSR.
