On Tuesday, October 21, the Russian Visa Application Center in Tokyo resumed its work, which had to be interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Since yesterday, applications for visas of all categories have been accepted from Japanese and foreign citizens permanently residing in the Land of the Rising Sun, without restrictions on the purpose of the trip. This is stated in a message published on the website of the official visa center of Russia in Japan.
The center clarifies that when boarding an aircraft, foreigners must provide a certificate of a negative PCR test conducted no earlier than three days before arriving in Russia, the certificate must be in Russian or in English.
In addition, the message notes that entry into Russia for Japanese citizens is possible only by direct flights from Japan.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the Russian Visa Application Center in Tokyo will work by appointment only. Visitors are asked to enter there only in protective masks, and even better – to send documents for a visa by mail, reports TASS.
