Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Alexey Oleinik explained his desire to stay in the United States. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Oleinik said that operations and other medical services are cheaper for him in America. “If I make them in Russia or Europe, then often there are difficulties with reimbursement of finances from the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC). Here they do everything absolutely free of charge, ”the athlete noted.

The fighter stressed that he was going to leave the United States for Russia, but he was stopped by the price of tickets – for the whole family they cost 750 thousand rubles. “Guys, I'm sorry, but I'm not so rich to fly away now,” concluded Oleinik.

In total, Alexey Oleinik has 73 fights according to the MMA rules: 59 wins and 14 defeats. The fighter has been in the UFC since 2014. The last fight was held by the Russian on August 8. In the main battle of the Las Vegas tournament, he lost to the American Derrick Lewis.

At the same time, Ukrainian television refused to show the fight with the participation of Oleinik by the decision of the country's government. A native of Kharkov received Russian citizenship in 2014, and since 2015 he has been banned from entering Ukraine.
