On the 18th day of Russia's war against Ukraine, the enemy has decided on the directions of his main efforts and is focusing them on attacking our defense forces in the JFO zone.
Aleksey Arestovich, Advisor to the Head of the President's Office, announced this at a briefing. However, he noted that the Ukrainian army is holding back the Russian invaders and delivering powerful retaliatory strikes.
– Tonight, a significant amount of equipment and enemy forces were destroyed in the Kherson region. Holds Mariupol, Kharkov, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kiev region. The enemy has been stopped mainly in the north and near Kharkov, and is now engaged in regrouping, pulling up combat forces, so it is not conducting active hostilities,” he noted.
According to Arestovich, Ukrainian troops launched night attacks on the enemy: artillery and aviation.
At the same time, the enemy resorted to retaliatory strikes. In particular, in the Lvov region, according to preliminary data, strategic Russian aircraft launched a strike with cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
Alexey Arestovich assured that the situation is controlled by the military-political leadership of Ukraine.
