Over the past 24 hours, the military situation around Ukraine has not changed significantly, and Russian troops do not take active offensive actions.
Oleksii Arestovich, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced this at a briefing today.
According to him, in the morning there were only two attempts at offensive operations by the enemy, in particular in Kharkov.
– During the day, the military situation around Ukraine has changed insignificantly. The enemy is demoralized, they do not take active offensive actions. In the morning there were only two attempts: a small concentration of the enemy, about 8-12 cars, tried to go deep into Kharkov. They were cordoned off and now half destroyed. Do not believe any stuffing that Kharkov is being attacked, Kharkov has fallen. Kharkiv residents are holding the line and skillfully destroying the enemy,” Arestovich emphasized.
As for Kyiv and the western environs of the capital, the occupiers made an attempt to move in the direction of the cities of Bucha, Gostomel, Irpin in the morning, but fell under a powerful artillery and missile strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– The enemy is disorganized, and now only a small force is trying to conduct reconnaissance in the direction of Irpen. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are in control of the situation,” Arestovich said.
He added that local residents joined the fight against the invaders, who in Bucha burned part of the Russian BMD with Molotov cocktails.
And representatives of the terrorist defense of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Lvov regions are sent to help the terrorist defense of Kyiv.
According to Arestovich, there are no new enemy advances on the southern front either: neither in the direction of Energodar, nor in the direction of Zaporozhye, nor in the direction of Mariupol.
– The Russian government delegation that arrived in Belarus, according to the Russian media, with a proposal to conduct peace negotiations, from a military point of view, means only one thing: they have lost the initiative and are now not capable of continuing active hostilities …
According to military experts, the insane losses they suffered and the resistance of the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the frustrated plans of the first three days of their campaign, show that the further prospect of offensive operations in Ukraine is useless, – said Arestovich.
