A video of the Russian T-80 tank that fell through the ice was published on the network
Russian battle tank T-80 fell through the ice. The incident got on the video, which on Tuesday, December 21, publishes the Telegram channel “Military Observer”.
The footage shows that the combat vehicle is half submerged. Several people in camouflage clothing can be seen around, organizing work to pull the tank ashore. At the same time, one of the tankers is still inside the armored vehicle.
When and where exactly the video was filmed is not specified. Information about the victims of the accident is also not provided.
In March 2020, the American magazine The National Interest stated that the most nimble tank is the Soviet (Russian) T-80 with a gas turbine engine, which is superior in fuel efficiency to the Ukrainian version with a diesel power plant.
Since the 1970s, more than ten thousand T-80 tanks have been produced in the Soviet Union, and then in Ukraine and Russia. Currently, Ukraine has more than 100 such vehicles, in Russia their number is estimated at 3,500 units.
