The new Russian system of automatic illumination of the surface situation “Strategy” developed by the Research Institute for Long-Range Radio Communication (NIIDAR) will allow, in particular, to track the ships of the US Navy in the Black Sea, RIA Novosti reports.

The system uses satellite and ground automatic information systems, as well as data from radar stations (radar) and internal channels for transmitting object information of the fleet. Analyzing the relevant information, “Strategy” will determine the ownership of the ships entering the Black Sea.

In March, TASS, referring to a source in the military-industrial complex, reported that the second over-the-horizon “Container” radar, whose radar field will cover almost all of Europe, will be deployed near Kaliningrad.

In April, Izvestia, citing sources in the Russian Defense Ministry, reported that the Sky-M and Podlet radars, reinforced by the Fundament-M automatic control system (ACS), would cover the skies of the Far East.

In October 2019, NIIDAR General Director Kirill Makarov said that the location of the “Container” in the depths of Russia is explained by the existence of a dead zone with a radius of 900 kilometers.
