The Maritime Prefecture of France reported the interception of a Russian vessel in the English Channel, RIA Novosti reports.
Details of what happened were not reported.
Earlier it became known that Russian citizens who were on a ship in distress in the Black Sea were rescued. “The Ukrainian authorities carried out a rescue operation, the crew members were rescued, two of them are in serious condition,” the Moldovan Maritime Agency said.
On February 25, the Moldovan authorities announced that a ship with a crew of Russian citizens was hit by a shell in the neutral waters of the Black Sea. The source of the projectile launch is unknown.
