A representative of the upper house of the Russian parliament is accused of ordering a business partner for 100 thousand dollars.

On Friday, August 2, in Moscow, during a meeting of the Federation Council, Senator from the Tula region of the Russian Federation Dmitry Savelyev was detained. He is suspected of involvement in organizing the murder.

Russian Telegram channels report this.

Savelyev has represented the Tula region in the upper house of the Russian parliament since 2016, before that he was a State Duma deputy from Putin's United Russia party for 10 years. Since November 2023, he has been a member of the Economic Policy Committee.

This Russian politician is also known for being the chairman of the board of trustees of the Tula Suvorov Military School. He is under American and European sanctions for supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In the 1990s, Dmitry Sameliev worked in the structures of Lukoil and was the president of Transneft.

A source of the VChK-OGPU channel reported that Dmitry Saveliev accepted congratulations today, since he considers himself a “paratrooper”. Tomorrow he planned to celebrate his 56th birthday. Everything that happened was a complete surprise to him.

When at a meeting of the Federation Council it was announced that he was being stripped of immunity at the request of the Prosecutor General, the senator rushed to the exit, where he was detained. However, he left his phone at his workplace. The security forces did not take him, others are afraid to touch him. That's why the phone is constantly ringing.

Senator Savelyev is accused of ordering a business partner for 100 thousand dollars, whom he suspected of embezzling common funds. However, the hired contractor “handed over” the customer and the intermediary to the special services. The intermediary was the senator's personal assistant.

Recall that former people's deputy Andrei Derkach, who fled Ukraine and is wanted, became a candidate for the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the Astrakhan Region.
