Russian scientists were the first in the world to create a subunit plague vaccine
The world's first subunit plague vaccine has been created in Russia. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, RIA Novosti reports.
Scientists have created vaccine strains adapted using genetic technology to mass-produce subunit vaccines, she said. To test them, a drug against the plague was created.
Golikova also said that a prototype of the technology and treatment for Duchenne dystrophy is being developed for the first time in Russia. In 2020, 11.6 billion rubles were allocated to finance this program. This year, more than 11 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
Earlier, the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences spoke about the prospects for creating a drug for the treatment of obesity.
