Russian scientists have developed a device for diagnosing COVID-19 in 27 minutes
Specialists of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency have created a device capable of detecting a coronavirus infection in a person with a high degree of accuracy within half an hour, RIA Novosti reports.
“A device has been developed to determine the presence of a virus antigen, which is based on the isothermal amplification method,” said Doctor of Medical Sciences Daria Kryuchko.
According to her, the diagnostic system is able to determine the presence of COVID-19 with a high degree of reliability in 27 minutes.
It is expected that, after further development, the device will be able to detect other antigens.
Earlier it became known that new treatment regimens for coronavirus may soon appear in Russia.
