On February 10, Russia launched a massive rocket attack on Ukraine. It is known that two enemy missiles flew into the territory of our state from Moldova. Chisinau has already reacted to this.
The invaders continue to violate the airspace of other states in every possible way, inflicting a massive missile attack on Ukraine. It is for this reason that Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolae Popescu urgently summons the Russian Ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Vasnetsov.
Chisinau condemns Russia's actions
The Russian side continues its aggressive war against Ukraine, and missile attacks on a neighboring country directly and negatively affect the citizens of our country, – said the press secretary of the department, Daniel Wode.
He also added that the country strongly condemns enemy actions and statements about Moldova itself. They also called on Russia to “stop military aggression” against Ukraine, because it caused human casualties and material damage.
What is known about the flight of Moldovan missiles
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. According to him, at 10:18, two Russian Caliber cruise missiles crossed the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova. Note that the relevant information was confirmed in Chisinau.
He also added that at about 10:33 the missiles crossed the airspace of Romania. After that, they again flew to Ukraine at the point of intersection of the borders of three states at once. Zaluzhny added that the Russians launched Caliber from the Black Sea.
The missile could have violated NATO airspace
As noted above, Russian missiles not only flew into the territory of Moldova. They also flew over Romania, which is a NATO member country.
As political analyst Nikolai Davydyuk noted on Channel 24, the Alliance, for unknown reasons, is timid about missiles launched by Russia. Moreover, there have already been several incidents that clearly demonstrated this both to Ukraine and to the aggressor country itself.
We are the only ones who are not afraid to speak the truth. When it arrives, we talk about it. Moldova was silent. NATO asked to take responsibility when it flew over Poland. Romania was silent. It also flew there last year. They flew to Croatia (probably a drone – Channel 24), Davidyuk noted.
It is interesting that in Romania they have already reacted to the fact that Russian missiles violated the airspace. The Ministry of Defense stated that the relevant information is not true. As if the missiles recorded about 35 kilometers northeast of the border of the state.
