The Russian invaders continue to attack with the use of high-precision long-range weapons and operational-tactical aviation. This is reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the information, aviation is controlled and guided by A-50 type aircraft from the territory of the Minsk region in the airspace of Belarus and the occupied Crimea. The enemy chooses to destroy civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. All this should create panic among the population.
A Russian Il-76 with paratroopers on board landed at the Belarusian airfield in Gomel. Due to damage to the runway at the airfield in Gostomel, the enemy decided to advance on their own from the territory of Belarus in the direction of Gomel-Chernigov-Kiev.
It is reported that in the Chernihiv region, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Belous River stopped the enemy.
Near Chernigov, the Russian invaders also received a rebuff, and now they are trying to bypass the city and carry out an attack on Kiev.
– For the same purpose – an attack on Kiev – regardless of losses, the enemy is torn in the direction of Kozelets-Brovary and the direction of Konotop-Nizhin-Kiev. The city of Konotop has been lost, the General Staff said in a statement.
In the south of the country, Russian troops reached the Kherson-Novaya Kakhovka line in order to hold the dam of the North Crimean Canal to provide water to the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. The enemy is fighting for the city of Melitopol.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy was unable to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The shelling of the units of the Joint Forces does not stop.
“In Slobozhanshchina, in the districts of Kharkov and Valuykov, units from the defense forces continue to conduct defensive battles, stopped the enemy and entrenched themselves along a certain line,” the report says.
The air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct constant battles and reconnaissance.
Earlier it was reported that on February 25, at about 08.30, near the village of Voznesenskoye, Zolotonoshsky district, the Ukrainian military shot down an enemy plane.
