Russian occupation authorities detained Turkish fishing boats off the coast of Crimea

The Russian Navy (Navy) off the coast of the occupied Ukrainian Crimea detained two fishing boats from Istanbul.

CNN Turk denied Russia's claims that the boats were not registered – one registered in the port of Gemlik and the other in Sarier.

This is reported by CNN Turk.

It is noted that two fishing boats sailed to the Black Sea for their catch, setting off on May 15. There were 12 fishermen on the boats. Fishermen hunted off the coast of Russian-occupied Crimea. On May 18, boats approached the peninsula. After that, a Russian warship intervened, and the fishermen were detained. Meanwhile, the fishermen called their relatives via satellite phone and informed them about the situation.

Turkish fishing boats were brought to the vicinity of Sevastopol, accompanied by warships. The Russian authorities confiscated fish and boats, and the fishermen were fined $30,000.
