An ambush on Russian soldiers was set up on a highway near Grozny.
On Thursday, October 24, in Chechnya, unknown individuals opened fire from a forest area on a convoy moving near Grozny Rosgvardia.
Videos from the scene are published by Russian Telegram channels.
The published footage shows a Ural military truck riddled with bullets and the body of a killed Rosgvardia officer.
The ambush on Russian soldiers was set up on the highway leading from the village of Petropavlovskaya to the village of Berkart-Yurt.
The military vehicle belongs to military unit No. 6779 (Urus-Martan).
According to the Telegram channels, the killed man was Dmitry Vereshchenko, who was the senior officer of the vehicle. It is also reported that one or two National Guard officers were wounded.
The shooters managed to leave the ambush site without losses after the attack.
