Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Umar Vakhaev was detained after shooting on the street of St. Petersburg. This was reported by Channel Five, citing sources.
The incident took place on September 30 in the area of the South Highway. The law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found two spent cartridges.
Later, it was possible to locate the alleged violators of the order. The police stopped the Mercedes car they were in. An MMA fighter was also among the detainees.
It is not the first time that the name of an athlete has entered a criminal chronicle. In 2017, Vakhaev took part in a massive shooting fight and was injured. That incident took place on Moskovsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg.
Vakhaev is the Russian grappling champion. In MMA he represents Grozny fighting club “Berkut”.
