Servicemen of the Russian Navy (Navy) tested an all-seeing camera in the Arctic. She can see camouflage coatings and camouflaged objects.
This is a SWIR infrared camera. It works in the range from 0.9 to 1.7 microns. This allows her to see the above objects. Also, the camera can find sources of laser radiation and any thermal flashes, including shots, volleys and signals.
The camera was checked as part of the Umka-2021 exercise. They took place in the area of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. More than 600 military personnel and researchers took part in the expedition. Together with them, about 200 samples of weapons, military and special equipment were brought.
