The Russian military at the Zapad-2021 exercise showed a new “roundabout” tactic. They showed it to their colleagues from Belarus, Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said.
According to him, the helicopter “carousel” implies the implementation of combat elements. He also noted that the implementation of the maneuvers is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the minister, which makes it possible to work out new elements from the experience of local conflicts.
– For us, this is a Syrian campaign, although in it irregular armed forces acted against us, but at the same time highly trained bandit formations. … If we take combat elements, then this is a helicopter and artillery “carousel”. They are widely used in all the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, here our brothers Belarusians adopt this experience, – said Yevkurov.
As the site kp.ru previously wrote, the West-2021 exercises are being held at several training grounds in Russia and Belarus. They will end on September 16, 2021. In total, about 200 thousand servicemen and more than 700 pieces of equipment take part in them.
