The largest Russian media and media platforms have signed a memorandum on countering fakes. The document will create a secure information environment and combat false information. The media holding Rambler & Co, Mail.ru Group, Yandex.Dzen, TASS, Interfax, Vedomosti, RBC, MIC Izvestia, Rutube, Avito, The Bell, Likee, MirTesen and URA joined the memorandum. .RU, as well as organizations “Dialogue” and ROCIT.

“At the moment, there is still no mechanism aimed at refuting inaccurate, misleading information. Rambler & Co, as a media holding with a multimillion audience, supports the initiative of combining Russian companies to combat fakes. It is extremely important not only to declare the existing problem, but also to show responsibility to users, protecting them from unscrupulous content producers and accidental or malicious injections that sometimes cause real harm to people, “said Andrey Tsyper, executive director of media at Rambler & Co media holding.

The initiative appeared due to the fact that fakes negatively affect society. Leading Russian media have come together to create an atmosphere of trust on the Internet. In the near future, the memorandum may be supported by other domestic and foreign Internet sites.

Rambler & Co ranks first among Russian media holdings in terms of monthly audience – over 168 million users (according to Yandex.Metrica). It includes Lenta.ru, Gazeta.Ru, Rambler, Championship, WMJ.ru, Sekret Firmy, Motor.ru, LiveJournal and a number of other media assets. Due to the different thematic affiliation of the sites, the holding covers almost the entire range of interests and needs of various audiences.

Rambler & Co media holding, Index 20 sales house, Okko multimedia service, Soyuzmultfilm film studio, SberSvuk streaming service, SberMarketing, SberGames are part of the SberIntelligence group of companies, which unites entertainment assets of the Sber ecosystem.

Previously, Rambler & Co top managers became laureates of the National Business Communications Award. Andrey Tsyper, executive director for media at Rambler & Co, was recognized as the best in the Media – Internet category. Natalya Dmitrieva, head of the Rambler & Co “Index 20” sales house, received a statuette in the Breakthrough of the Year category, the holding's press service reported.
