The Polish Prosecutor's Office detained a Russian permanently resident on the territory of the country on suspicion of espionage in favor of Russia.
This was reported on the website of the Polish Prosecutor's Office.
“The conclusions of the Military Counterintelligence Service indicate that the man was engaged in espionage activities in favor of the intelligence of the Russian Federation. He must, among other things, collect information about military units, their equipment and staffing,” the message says.
The court chose a temporary arrest for the suspect for three months, but he could face up to 10 years in prison.
