Russian journalist Semyon Pegov, author of the WarGonzo Telegram channel, said that the Azerbaijani military began to prepare a riot against the Turkish command. The corresponding post was published on the channel on Wednesday, November 4.

According to Pegov, Azerbaijani officers, who are mostly Shiites, are unhappy with the fact that they were actually removed from the command of the army in favor of representatives of the Turkish special services and field commanders of pro-Turkish terrorist groups, who are Sunnis.

Earlier, Pegov reported that, according to sources in Istanbul, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov was actually removed from the command of the troops at the request of Turkey. The reason for the removal of Hasanov was allegedly his close ties with Russian generals. The journalist also said that the Turkish special services demanded that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev remove from management all Azerbaijani generals who were educated in Russia.

On October 26, a ceasefire came into force in Nagorno-Karabakh. The corresponding agreements were reached by Azerbaijan and Armenia with the mediation of the United States. The third truce began at 08:00 local time (07:00 Moscow time), but soon the sides accused each other of violating the silence and continued to fight.

In 1991, Nagorno-Karabakh, the majority of whose population were Armenians, declared independence from Azerbaijan. Baku tried to return the region by force, a war broke out. In 1994, Azerbaijan, Armenia and the unrecognized NKR signed a truce.
