Hockey player of the Reactor Youth Hockey League (MHL) club Nikita Mokeev died in an accident. This was reported by the NTR 24 TV channel.
According to the source, the accident happened around December 20 at 15:00. On the 121st kilometer of the Orenburg-Kazan road, a Lada Vesta, driven by a hockey player, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Scania truck.
From the impact, a passenger car was thrown into a ditch. The 19-year-old athlete died on the spot. Together with him in the salon was a girl, she was hospitalized.
The defender has taken part in 38 JHL matches this season. As part of Reactor, he scored two goals and made ten assists.
On November 27, 16-year-old defender of MHC Dynamo and the Russian junior national team Valentin Rodionov died. The hockey player was injured during a match against CSKA on November 21. He hit the side, after which he lost consciousness and was taken to the intensive care unit of the children's hospital.
