Russian girl-mixed fighter (MMA) Liana Jojua, who also has Georgian citizenship, said that she was stuck at Cairo airport for 12 hours before flying to Abu Dhabi for the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) 254 tournament. TASS quoted her as saying.
“We slept right on the armchairs, I was still starting to lose weight, it was unpleasant,” the athlete said. She added that they wanted to take her passport from her, but she did not give the documents. Jojua did not elaborate on the reason for the flight delay.
