What is known about the unknown UAV in Lithuania

Thus, at about 11:30 am, the Lithuanian Air Force recorded an unknown object approaching the border from the Belarusian side.

Amid the threat, the Air Force switched another NATO fighter from training mode to combat mode. However, the combat mission was cancelled immediately after the drone crashed.

At first it was assumed that a Shahed-type drone had flown into Lithuania. However, the country's State Border Service soon reported that it was a “homemade aircraft similar to an airplane” made of plywood and foam.

However, as Delfi writes, it was in fact a Gerbera drone. Russia actively uses these drones to confuse Ukrainian air defense. According to the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the object does not pose a threat.
