The newest Russian frigates of Project 22350 have learned to aim at the enemy coastal missile systems (BRK) “Bastions” and “Bali”. Thanks to this, the ships will be able, without being noticed, to destroy entire squadrons and even aircraft carriers of an enemy group.
According to Izvestia, the system of interaction between frigates and coastal complexes has already been tested. She was recognized as ready for battle. Recently, during an exercise, the Bastion missile system fired from the islands of the Franz Josef Land archipelago at conventional enemy ships, using the target designation of the frigate Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov.
As military expert Dmitry Boltenkov explained, ships and DBKs should work in a single battle space and exchange information. Therefore, the exercise paid attention to the interaction in the transmission of data. The expert is sure that the Project 22350 frigate and the Bastion battalion are a serious enemy. It is noted that the DBK division is eight powerful anti-ship missiles. And the frigates have stealth technology.
