The Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Estonian ambassador because of the flight to Estonia of Russian citizen Alexander Litreev. This was stated at a press briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. The briefing was broadcast on her Facebook page.

“Judging by the words of Litreev himself, he left for Estonia in May (…) According to his own statement, employees of the Estonian diplomatic mission in St. Petersburg helped him to cross the border safely. The other day, the Estonian ambassador in Moscow was invited to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Estonian side was asked for an explanation on this subject, ”Zakharova said.

Litreev left for Estonia, despite the obligation to appear in court. In February of this year, he was detained in Yekaterinburg on charges of possession of prohibited substances. He fully admitted his guilt and after a month in a pre-trial detention center was under house arrest, and in April the court released him from house arrest on recognizance not to leave.

Litreev is the head and founder of the Vee Security IT company, which created the Red Button app for those detained at rallies.
