Russian Su-27 and Su-30 fighters intercepted three US Air Force (Air Force) bombers over the Black Sea. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the National Defense Control Center of Russia.

It is noted that the fighters did not violate the Russian border. American planes flew from Ukraine. They were escorted over the Black Sea. After the bombers moved away from the state border, the fighters returned to the airfields.

The fact that the US Air Force B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers approached the Russian border became known earlier on September 14. They took off from the British airbase Fairford and headed towards the Black Sea through Ukrainian airspace.

This is the second time a B-52H has entered Ukrainian airspace since early September. The previous flight was carried out as part of a regular mission to observe the Black Sea. The flight of the bombers was accompanied by Ukrainian fighters.
