Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, commented on the statement by US President's national security adviser Jake Sullivan about the imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
Polyansky called the US alarmists and said that Russian troops were still on their territory. “Some sane people hoped that the hysteria fanned by the United States had subsided. Maybe they jinxed it, because the alarmists clearly got a second wind, ”he assessed the situation. The deputy representative suggested that the United States invade Ukraine itself, because “someone must after such an alarmist campaign.”
Earlier, Sullivan spoke about the confidence of the White House in the imminent invasion of the Russian Federation. The US administration believes that an attack on Ukraine “could begin at any moment,” including during the Beijing Olympics. The assistant to the President of the United States did not disclose the details of the information allegedly obtained from intelligence.
