The Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau is to supply the Ministry of Defense with hypersonic Dagger missiles.
The agency signed a state contract with the company for the supply of a batch of hypersonic weapons. It was signed by Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko and KBM General Designer Valery Kashin.
A contract was also signed for the modernization of the carriers of the hypersonic “Daggers”. These are MiG-31K fighters. Also, the military intend to improve the combatant MiG-31 to the level of the MiG-31BM.
This is not the only hypersonic weapons contract. NPO Mashinostroyenia will also supply the military with Zircon missiles. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Defense has not yet disclosed any information on new contracts.
Let us remind you that the Dagger missiles can hit both stationary objects and surface ships. The weapon is capable of flying at a speed of 10 times the speed of sound, and maneuvering throughout its flight path.
