Russian cosmonauts plan to set a record for the number of exits from the ISS
Next year, Russian cosmonauts may set a record for the number of spacewalks from the International Space Station (ISS) – nine, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the station's flight program.
The current record for the number of Russian exits from the station was set in 2013, when there were six of them. From 2001 to 2021, a total of 58 Russian exits were made to the ISS, including eight unscheduled.
Earlier it was reported that Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Petr Dubrov successfully completed extravehicular activities. The 50th spacewalk began at 17:55 Moscow time on September 9th. Outside the ship, Novitsky and Dubrov spent 7 hours and 20 minutes. During this time, they completed all the main tasks and two additional ones.
