Russian Consulate in Mexico City has suspended the reception of visitors
The consular section of the Russian Embassy in the Mexican capital temporarily stopped working due to a sharp deterioration in the epidemiological situation in the city.
Representatives of the diplomatic mission announced this on Tuesday, January 26, on the official page of the department on Twitter.
Recall that since December 19 in Mexico City has been operating the maximum – “red” – the regime of the epidemic threat.
According to the latest data, during the pandemic in the metropolis, 450 590 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 27 114 patients died.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine could be registered in Mexico. The issues of organizing the supply of the drug to the country during a telephone conversation were discussed by the presidents of the Russian Federation and Mexico, Vladimir Putin and Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
