Olympic champion Dmitry Soloviev was drunk when he was beaten over a girl

The details of the state of the Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov during the beating became known. This was reported by TASS with reference to a law enforcement source.
“According to preliminary data, Soloviev was in a state of alcoholic intoxication at the time of the conflict,” the source said. The law enforcement agencies noted that the skater was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department of the Botkin Hospital with a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion and bruises.
On December 21, an athlete was beaten in Moscow by three men when he stood up for his girlfriend, curler Anna Sidorova. The moment of the attack was captured by a video surveillance camera.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow reported that the attackers were detained.
Soloviev performed in ice dancing with Ekaterina Bobrova. Together they became 2014 Olympic champions and 2018 Olympic silver medalists in team competition.
