Russian biathletes set a new anti-record

The Russian national biathlon team has set a new anti-record, having held 30 races without medals. The results of the competition are available on the website of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).

The women's team, consisting of Evgenia Pavlova, Irina Kazakevich, Larisa Kuklina and Ulyana Kaisheva, finished eighth in the relay at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, 1 minute 51 seconds behind the leaders and with nine penalties. The winners were the Norwegians (Caroline Knotten, Ingrid Lanmark Tandrevold, Tiril Eckhoff, Marthe Ulsbu-Roiseland), who covered the distance in 1 hour 8 minutes and 4.3 seconds and made seven penalties. The second place was taken by French women (Anais Bescon, Julia Simon, Justine Breisaz, Anais Chevalier). In third place are Swedes (Johanna Scottheim, Lynn Persson, Hanna Oberg, Elvira Karin Oberg).
