On Wednesday, February 2, the European Union in Vienna strongly condemned Russia's aggression in Ukraine and called on the Kremlin to immediately withdraw its troops and equipment from our country.

– The EU condemns in the strongest terms the unprovoked and unjustified military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. We demand that Russia immediately cease hostilities, unconditionally withdraw all forces and military equipment from all territory of Ukraine, and begin to fully respect Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence within its internationally recognized borders.

The European Union also condemned Belarus for its involvement in this aggression, it calls on it to comply with international obligations.

– Russia's military attack on Ukraine – an independent and sovereign state – is a gross violation of international law and the UN Charter, which undermines European and global security and stability. Russia bears full responsibility for this act of aggression and all the destruction and loss of life that it will cause, the statement said.

The European Union said it would do everything possible to support Ukraine and protect “the integrity of the rules-based international system, which is the key to our collective security.”
