It became known that the state will pay for the Research Institute “Voskhod” for the transfer of the Moscow State Technical University. N.E.Bauman for domestic software. This is most likely due to the fact that in December Microsoft stopped cooperating with the university due to US sanctions.
The media write that the amount of subsidies will be 216 million rubles. By the beginning of 2022, at least five thousand jobs should be transferred to domestic software.
Earlier it became known that Microsoft will no longer supply its programs to MGTU due to new US export restrictions against Russia. In April 2021, the media wrote that the Ministry of Digital Industry, together with Moscow State Technical University and Voskhod, is engaged in a pilot import substitution project. The university has tested the compatibility of over a thousand software products with domestic operating systems.
